Why This Desk Exists
Ann Ford started the blog to cut the filler out of game coverage. Each post leads with what changed, says why it matters this week, and marks what was played and what was only reported. Five games, one editor, short posts.

Who writes this
My name is Ann Ford, and I edit this blog the way I would run a small desk: one headline per post, one clear claim, and no filler between the claim and the evidence. I play most of what I write about, which keeps the list of games honest and also keeps it short.
What I actually play
Warzone is my default for a quick evening session; I care about loadout logic and circle reading more than raw aim. ARC Raiders is where I go when I want tension without a long commitment. Escape from Tarkov is the slow burn, mostly planning routes and regretting them. Destiny 2 and World of Warcraft are the long-running habits, the ones where I keep a spreadsheet of changes because my memory is not reliable.
How I write a post
I start from what changed. Then I ask why a player should care this week rather than this year. Only after that do I write the paragraph that explains the system behind it. If I cannot test a claim myself, the post says so, and I mark it as a report rather than a result.
- I play on a mid-range PC with a controller for some games and keyboard for others.
- I keep notes while playing, then rewrite them cold the next day.
- I would rather publish one checked post than three rushed ones.
What I will not do
I will not rank things by pretending to have numbers I do not have. I will not post a rumor as news. When I get something wrong, I fix the post and add a line at the bottom saying what changed. You can write to me at [email protected]; I read everything, even the angry ones, and some of them improve the next piece.
